At CLASSIC NOUVEAU FRAMES - based in the City of Peterborough, we have been producing a select range of Sterling Silver giftware for over 20 years.

Frames, Clocks and Book Fronts and we always count quality of finish as one of the most important considerations when hand making each and every piece.

Most of them can be personalised by engraving for a special occasion. We pride ourselves in having short supply lead times - delivery is usually within 12 working days.

Our designs range from the late Victorian period, the Art Nouveau and Edwardian periods and up to modern contemporary styles. All of our Silver is Hallmarked at The Birmingham Assay Office where they are tested for purity, after which the Assay Marks are made on each one.

The Hallmarks consist of a series of different symbols made in the surface of the Silver. They include the Makers Mark, Anchor (The Birmingham Assay Office), Lion (optional) represents a purity of 92.5%, the 925 Mark (now replaces Lion) and the Date Letter.

Assaying of precious metals began many centuries ago and was one of the earliest forms of consumer protection.
